Here is a rare opportunity to own a beautifully restored 1937 Indian Sport Scout - That's special in itself - but this is not your average Scout... This exact machine was chosen to represent the mark, and this model in particular in Jerry Hatfield and Hans Halberstand's famous book - "Indian Motorcycles". This beautiful and rare machine is featured prominently on pages 78 and 81.This gorgeous Scout was meticulously restored a few years ago and has been lovingly cared for ever since. Always stored indoors in a climate controlled shop - it has received only the finest maintenance and service. During restoration, attention was paid to even the finest details with an eye for originality. This contributes much to the collect-ability and long term value of this noteworthy machine. The Chinese Red and Metallic Silver 2-tone paint scheme with extensive pin-striping follows the original pattern and color palette. All service and repair records have been maintained for entire duration of the current owner's stewardship of this piece of history.Recently a complete top end rebuild (back to standard bore) and restoration of the front suspension and steering bushings and bearings was performed - restoring power and crisp handling to like new levels. Though it truly a beautiful machine, it's no trailer queen. It starts easily and runs great! A strong performer.Another special feature is the era correct Corbin Double Needle Speedometer. All around a great looking - great running machine that would be an excellent addition to your collection!
